Also you can always find deals at hotels no matter of the period of the year when you are going and depending on your budget you can spend $20 or less for a bed in a hostel or you can stay in a hotel for around $40 per night. The most famous part of the city is the Las Vegas Boulevard known as the Strip and even here if you are lucky enough you can find accommodation from $45 per night and up. Since this is the place where everything happens and you are basically in the middle of the action you have to reserve your room several months before. If you are willing to spend a little bit more you can stay in a four or five start hotel paying anywhere from $55 to $100 at the low end of accommodation rates.
To get around the town you can rent a car, use a taxi, the monorails and the buses or you can just walk around. Las Vegas is a great vacation for adults and children alike and while you have to be at least 21 to gamble, there are dozens of places and things to do where children can have a lot of fun. Taking a stroll on the Strip can very interesting and different than other parts of the city since this is the place where you can see wonderful fountains and famous replica buildings and things from other world famous cities, especially European ones. Also for a wonderful and appealing walk you can visit the Freemont Street in downtown. But walking around and gambling in the casinos are not the only kind of activities one is offered in Vegas. You can try or just watch sport like rafting, hiking, bowling, rock climbing, skydiving, tennis, ballooning, golfing and many more; you can go shopping in one of the many available shopping galleries and malls or you can visit one of the many museums. Some of the most interesting museums in Vegas are the Las Vegas Art Museum and the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum.
Las Vegas is also famous for the variety of shows in which internationally recognized entertainers take part. There are shows for all ages and for all budgets and some of the shows are free. Some of the most famous shows are the free shows Masquerade Show in the Sky or the Sirens of TI; the Cirque du Soleil shows, the tribute shows like for example Little Legends or The Musical History of the King; the production shows like Forever Plaid, Matsuri or Stomp Out Loud; the magic shows like Penn and Teller or Anthony Cools – The Uncensored Hypnotist; the headliner shows where stars like Toni Braxton or Celine Dion perform; and adult shows like American Storm, Chippendales or Folies Bergere. If you are on a cheap family holiday you can visit the fountains of the Bellagio, the Flamingo garden, the MGM Grand Lion Habitat, the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, the Star trek: The Experience or the US Route 95 at night. Las Vegas is also the place to be if you want to have an unusual wedding. Here you can get married in a 24 hour chapel, in a hot air-balloon or in almost any other way you can think of. The only things you need are a marriage license and valid identification. This is why Las Vegas is also known as the wedding capital of the world.
